There is a place in Golden Gate Park called Hippie Hill. And what better spot to pick for the annual 4/20 celebration than a location with such an iconic name? Now, depending on your age, country of origin and religion, you might remember last Sunday as Easter Sunday. Some others, however, probably got pretty high that day- and not from an overdose of Cadbury Mini Eggs (Which one could easily overdose on…)!
I grabbed my boyfriend and his roommate and told them that, apparently “there will be some people in the park celebrating 4/20 with music.” Well. Understatement of the day. The weed cloud hanging over the park that day was thicker than L.A. smog. I have never seen a crowd of that size publicly smoking up while the police just looks the other way. I really didn’t know if I should be fascinated or appalled.
Either way, a unique San Francisco experience for sure!
